Holding the unfurled banner of the Bund, members of the Jewish socialist party, the Jewish Labor Bund, march on May Day. Warsaw.  At first, May Day was observed  by socialist parties, with parades and demonstrations, as a day for workers and trade unions. Demands for the 8 hour work day was one of the focal points of the early May Day parades.
