Title:
Letter from the Achiasaf publishing house, Warsaw,  to  Leiser David Finkel
Description:
Letter from the Achiasaf publishing house, Warsaw, to Leiser David Finkel, regarding a general history book  which the latter was contracted to write. While the work was to be written in a popular vein, be about 100 pages long, and be suitable for  “zhargon”–speaking (i.e., Yiddish) readers, Finkel has produced an exact translation of two scholarly volumes, twice as long as what was agreed upon. The publishers threaten the author with dire consequences.
