Correspondence between the Union of Yiddish Writers and Journalists in Vilna and the newspaper Ovnt kuryer (Evening courier). From the publisher (?), Rozental of the Ovnt kuryer to the board of the union stressing that Mr. Rikles, a part time translator from German and Polish, is volunteering and not working for pay, and was engaged privately, not as a union member. The publisher (?) reserves the right to make his own personnel decisions and complains about various demands the union has made of him, such as specifying that writers be paid by the hour and asking him to hire writers who are also writing for other newspapers.
