Advertisement for the Ezra School, Vilna. Parents who are trying to find a way to comply with the new state laws about compulsory education and who want their offspring to go to school with "middle-class children" are urged to enroll them in the religious  Ezra School, where they will learn the "entire Five Books of Moses, Prophets and Writings, 70 pages of Gemara, Hebrew and Yiddish literature, and Jewish and general history," as well as secular subjects, such as algebra and Latin.
