Chewel Buzgan, 1897-1971 was an actor and director. Performed in the Vilna Troupe and in the New Jewish Theater in Riga, Latvia. In 1939 he and his wife, Rywka Szyler were invited to perform in Argentina. They remained there until 1949, performing in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia. In 1949, Buzgan returned to Poland and in 1950, joined the E.R. Kaminska State Jewish Theater in Warsaw.
