Moyshe Broderzon, 1890-1956, was a Yiddish poet and theater director. Founded little theaters in Lodz: "Had Gadya," the first Yiddish marionette theater, "Ararat," and "Shor ha-Bor." Wrote songs for children and libretti for operas. Confined to a Siberian work camp from 1948-1955. Later repatriated to Poland, where he collapsed and died a few weeks later while visiting Warsaw. He was married to the actress Sheyne Miriam Broderson.
