The Beth Jacob was an a network for girls' school, established by Sarah Schenirer in Krakow, in 1917. The main objective of the schools was to strengthen students' commitment to Jewish law and to Jewish traditions by providing a broad base of knowledge, which included both Judaic and General Studies. By the 1920s, Beth Jacob schools had been established in several countries beyond Polish borders, including Czechoslovakia, Romania, and Lithuania. Beth Jacob's founder, Sarah Schenirer died in 1935, but her schools continued to succeed, and to the present day, exist in countries around the world

Description: List of by-laws of the Beth Jacob religious girls' school administration for their schools and teachers, and tentative school program and student plans, n.d. The by-laws state that the Beth Jacob schools provide 7 classes and are completed in 7 years. Each class is held for 2 hours daily, i.e. 10 hours a week. Students are admiitted to the school at the age of 6-7 and complete their studies at the age of 13-14. Each class can have a maximum of 30 students. Curriculum includes, Prayer, Translation of Prayers, Religion, Chumash (Pentateuch) and Hebrew Grammar, Yiddish, History, Tanach (Judges, Prophets).
