1)  The Sabbath eve is finally here

What a blessed moment!

There is shouting and a tumult in the street,

They hustle and run,

They shop and they buy in order to get Sabbath delicacies!

2) The women empty out the baskets,

Each one has different 'goodies.'

Horseradish, parsley and onion;

It's a pleasure to see !

3.  Let me have that good fish!, live and fresh,

And the best of everything!

4. Oh!  My dear wife,
