Title:
Note to a rabbi from Yosef ben Chaya Zlata and his wife Motil Bluma bat Rassiah Miriam
Description:
Kvitl  (written request to rabbi asking for a blessing or advice) sent to Rabbi Eliayahu Guttmacher in Graetz (Grodzisk Wielkopolski) from Yoysef ben Khaye Zlate and his wife Motil Blume bas Rasye Miriam in Tiberias. Yosef requests that the rabbi always have him in his prayers. He needs to be healed of his ailments and to be able to live in the holy land in peace and financial security. He owes two reichsthalers per month as tuition for his  eight-year-old son Yehoshuah's schooling, and his family has gone without food so that this debt can be repaid.  He requests that the rabbi send charity funds to aid him, so that he may continue his Torah study in the holy land. He also mentions  his concern for his wife's and daughter's health.
