Title:
Letter from Yidisher Artistn Fareyn (Jewish Actors Union) to Hebrew Actors Union
Description:
Copy of a reply fom Yankev Kelter, Chair of Yidisher Artistn Fareyn (Jewish Actors Union) in Warsaw to a letter from Reuben Guskin, an official of the Hebrew Actors Union in New York which denied mistreatment of YAF  members who have gone to America. Kelter takes umbrage at Guskin's suggestion that the YAF has lodged itscomplaint hastily, without any basis in fact. On the contrary, the problem has been brewing for years and goes much deeper. Right after the end of the first world war, appeals from the YAF on behalf of Jewish actors in Europe "who were starving not in the American, but the European way" went unanswered. One specific complaint the YAF has is that the Hebrew Actors Union has accepted as members people who were thrown out of the YAF.
